Old zip-a-tone artwork!!!

Donnie from The Big Lebowski

Major Bludd from G.I. Joe

Zartan from G.I. Joe

I posted these images a couple of weeks ago on my Instagram (@tyrone_mc). I found these old art projects that I did when I was at OCAD. At the time I got a stack of zip-a-tone from this architect store and I was experimenting with it like crazy. It was fun to use but lots of labour was involved. Now a days it's so much easier to do it on the computer but back then there was no good program that was capable of getting that zip-a-tone look.

Arts Alive Day!

Recently, I was part of Arts Alive Day at my son's school. It's a day when the whole school gets involved in creating art. Each classroom has several stations set up. I decided I would run one called Create a Superhero. I supplied outline drawings of a guy and girl superhero. The kids used a combination of art supplies like crayons, markers and construction paper to design their costumes. Overall the kids loved it and I had a blast!! Enjoy the pics.
